Steve Newton

President | CEO

Steve is an entrepreneurial leader and the creator of many successful media ventures. He served as the Director of Media at the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), an Account Executive and Senior Media Buyer at the Goldberg-Marchesano advertising agency, and was COO/Partner of Features International, a digital production and media company. Steve is often asked to share his expertise at conferences and workshops.

Tom Noon


Tom has been the CFO of Newton Media for over six years. He has over 35 years of leadership experience with organizations from startups to over $270 million in sales. He started his career as a Manager for Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers), a Big 4 National CPA firm and was a founder of the one of the early franchisors of med spas in the US. Tom previously reported directly to Pat Robertson as he managed a $20 million private investment fund for Christian Broadcast Network investing in overseas Media opportunities, including starting an early Business to Business Internet Company in China. read more

Janet Burke

Director of Media

Janet has been with Newton Media for more than 20 years after working with national advertising agencies in New York & Minneapolis. Her background in general advertising was a complement to Newton Media’s specialty in direct-response. Janet is responsible for overseeing the planning, buying and implementation of direct-response media for our clients. She provides excellent leadership to the media team, and manages close client relationships with professionalism and attention to detail to help the team achieve the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Aubry Winfrey

Account Executive | Media buyer

Aubry brings over 18 years of agency experience to the table. She has purchased and planned media for a wide variety of accounts including Universal Studios, Atlas Van Lines, TriVita, and Disney. She has an MBA and has written for and consulted on several corporate history books and DRTV industry newsletters. She specializes in working with clients and their key vendors to plan and execute national, international and Spanish campaigns. She brings a strong analytical skill set to the Newton Media team and is our go-to “accepter of any and all challenges.” Aubry takes a very personal, hands-on approach to serving our customers.

Aimee James

Senior Media Consultant

With 19 years of service in the Direct Response industry, Aimee has effectively kept up with the changes and challenges of a constantly-evolving industry. Over the years she has built many solid relationships and continues to do so. She has managed several national radio campaigns for broadcasters including a national live daily talk show. read more


Media Research Analyst

Steven has been with Newton Media for over eleven years as the Media Research Analyst. His customized analytic reporting provides our clients with actionable data defining how well each program and media campaign performs based on response and viewership. Steven’s passion is tracking the data in order to give our clients an understanding of the effectiveness of their CTA (call-to- action), product offer, television network, and time periods. read more

Tom Jones

Accounting Manager

Having been a professional musician for many years, Tom has worked on the production side of the media industry playing guitar for television, film, radio, artists’ recordings and live concerts. He has worked in the accounting/administration field now for over 18 years, having worked in the mortgage industry, public accounting firms and non-profits, and presently as part of the Newton Media team for the past 6 years. His highly-analytical, detail-oriented, “I love systems” mindset assists the company not only in its day-to-day business operations, but also in its passion to serve our clients and media vendors with excellence and integrity.


Accounting Assistant

Penny holds an MBA from Georgia College and State University as well as a Bachelors in Marketing. She has worked in Business Administration for a local business and had spent ten years working in Banking and Accounting for two non-profit Organizations. As the newest member of Newton Media, she brings her high attention to detail, ambition and accounting skills to ensure optimum care of our clients.


Media Assistant | Digital Buyer

Sheeryl graduated Summa Cum Laude from Old Dominion University with a degree in Psychology. She has been in the advertising/media industry for over ten years and has worked at various local agencies. As a member of Newton Media, she is excited to bring her experience in media trafficking, social media, verbal and written communication, and digital knowledge to further our clients’ campaigns. read more


Media Assistant

Claire has been with Newton Media for over six years assisting the Director of Media, Janet Burke. She has served within the media industry for seventeen years and has worked on all sidesof the advertising spectrum. She has previously worked as a Senior Sales Assistant at Petry/Blair in New York City and National Sales Assistant at our local television stations WAVY 10 and WVBT FOX 43. At Newton Media, as our Media Assistant, Claire handles a great majority of the data entry and coordination of media buys along with maintaining media schedules on a daily basis.


Executive Assistant

Jayne has been with Newton Media for five years, relieving Steve Newton of administrative-type functions in order to free up his time for executive-level responsibilities. She effectively deals with confidential and time-sensitive material, and attends to Steve’s scheduling and all office travel arrangements. She has over 15 years’ administrative experience, having previously worked with The 700 Club, with the Horsemanship Director at Chesapeake’s Triple R Ranch, with the Vice President-Finance of Michelin Tires (Canada) Limited, and also with the Manager of Royal Bank’s South Park branch, Halifax.

Maria Rountree

Client Services Coordinator

Maria has worked with Newton Media for 16 years in the Media and Accounting departments. During that time she has developed great relationships with both clients and vendors. In her current position as Client Services Coordinator, Maria works alongside Aubry Winfrey and is focused on providing excellent customer service for our clients. Her attention to detail and can-do attitude are seen every day through her work on contracts and presentations. Maria brings experience as an Accounting Technician in Finance for the City of Norfolk, VA. In January 2018, she is planning to continue her post-secondary education to earn a degree in Business Administration.
